Updates in Bylaws – In April, NY Xi made slight amendments to its bylaws to adhere to the current national SigEp bylaws and to better streamline the operations of the Social Chair. 

Prior to the revision, the NY Xi bylaws had stated that VP Programming was Vice President of the chapter – which no longer aligned with national’s rules. Since the update, VP SPELC has now officially been made the Vice President. 

Another key update was restructuring the Social Chair’s role. Before, there had been multiple Social Chairs with no single person to report to, leading to confusion regarding the delegation of tasks. The chapter voted to replace this system with a committee led by a single Social Chair who will serve as the liaison with E-Board. 

Additionally, VP Belonging and VP Risk were officially made voting members of E-Board.
